Dr Zosia Kuczyńska is a Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University College Dublin, mentored by Assoc. Professor Emilie Pine. She is currently working on a multi-strand research project centred on the Brian Friel Papers archived at the National Library of Ireland. The project combines scholarly outputs with artistic outreach in the form of Arts Council of Ireland funded practice-based research in collaboration with choreographer Jessie Keenan and performance maker Robbie Blake. Exploring questions around archival access and spaces of encounter, the project asks how archives can change our understanding of theatre.

Dr Kuczyńska was an editorial assistant on the Oxford Handbook of Modern Irish Theatre, edited by her then PhD supervisors Nicholas Grene and Chris Morash at Trinity College Dublin. She is currently preparing articles and a monograph for publication.
