ACIS Logo Krause Research Fellowship

A poet and scholar most known for his extensive work on the life and letters of Irish playwright Sean O’Casey, Professor David Krause (1917-2011) mentored many students as a professor of English at Brown University for more than three decades. In recognition of his renowned record of scholarship and long service to Irish Studies, Dr. Krause’s friends and family have taken the lead in establishing an annual fellowship of $1000 to be awarded to a Ph.D. student working on topic in Irish Literature (diaspora included) at a North American institution.

Application materials include a 2-3 page application letter (with a description of the research project and a statement of purpose), a CV, and two letters of recommendations.
