My PhD investigated healthcare during the Northern Ireland Troubles. I carried out oral history interviews with former healthcare workers who worked during the conflict. These interviews helped me to discover the effects of the conflict on them personally, professionally and the wider implications on the healthcare system.

More widely my interests are on the history of medicine in Britian and Ireland.

I am now working on a project with the University of Manchester which is collecting personal testimonies of the Covid-19 pandemic. My role involves collecting those of individuals living in Northern Ireland.
