Keelan Harkin is Assistant Professor of Irish Literature in the School of Irish Studies at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He completed his PhD at McGill University in 2018. He is currently completing his first monograph, based on his dissertation, which examines citizenship in Irish novels since 1937. His current research project looks at Irish novels and political negotiations in the 1930s as well as Irish literary engagements with the Cold War. Keelan has published articles on writers such as Anne Enright, Tom O’Flaherty, Mary Manning, and William Trevor in Textual Practice, New Hibernia Review, Irish University Review, the Canadian Journal for Irish Studies, and RISE.
