Revd Dr Christine O’Dowd-Smyth is a Lecturer in French & Comparative Postcolonial Literatures at Waterford Institute of Technology. She was a keynote speaker at the Borders Inside & Out Conference at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in September 2018: Living at the Hyphen: the problematic of London Irish diasporic identity in Martin Mc Donagh, John Walsh & Greta Mulrooney. She presented & chaired a session on Margins and Marginal Identities at the Conference of the Association for Franco-Irish Studies Lille, France in May 2019 and is currently writing a book proposal on Comparative Diasporas to be published in 2020.
