Research Interests i am full-time Professor in the King Graduate School of Monroe College, Bronx, New York. My teaching responsibilities are in the areas of Criminal Justice and Human Services. I am particularly interested in the field of alcoholism and addiction, and its effect on the larger society. I have previously presented at ACIS on two occasions. My first paper, on the Irish and Irish American alcoholic and drug addict examined some of my other work on oppression and addiction, and applied principles of larger research to the Irish population. I also presented on Irish life in Inwood, NYC, as a reflection of the wave of Irish Immigrants, post World War II. Still interested in a larger sense of how an ethnic identity influences later generations, I am presenting this time on the "Irish Identity" of 1st and 2nd generation Irish Americans and the process by which they came to identify as Irish while being born in the United States

I have a BS in Psychology from Fordham University, an MS in Urban Education from Iona College, and an MS in Adult Learning and an Ed D. in Adult Learning from Teachers College, Columbia University. I have nine graduate credits in Distance Learning from the University of Iowa and have also compleged a Summer Workshop in Fiction..
