I am a Ph.D. candidate from the Department of English at West Virginia University. I am currently working on my dissertation, “Mourning and Haunting in Irish Gothic Fiction from the Victorian Era to Modernism.” I recently participated in American Conference for Irish Studies (ACIS) Midwest Regional 2024, and presented my paper “Had she a ghost everywhere?”: The Vampiric Characterization of Marda Norton in Elizabeth Bowen’s The Last September (1929).”
