Sinéad Moynihan in Professor in American and Atlantic Literatures at the University of Exeter. She is the author of three monographs, the most recent of which – Ireland, Migration and Return Migration: The “Returned Yank” in the Cultural Imagination, 1952 to present (Liverpool UP, 2019) – was awarded the Michael J. Durkan Prize for Books on Language and Culture by the American Conference for Irish Studies. She has published widely on the literatures of the Irish Atlantic in Éire-Ireland, Modern Drama, Irish Studies Review and other venues. With Alison Garden, she was the co-investigator of “Brian Moore at 100” (funded by the British Academy/Leverhulme Trust), the outcome of which was a special issue of the Canadian Journal of Irish studies on “New Perspectives on Brian Moore.” Her current book project has the working title: For Export Only: Irish Writers and U.S. Magazines, 1940-1975.
