I received my doctorate from Mary Immaculate College in 2010 (‘Making the middle-class mind: middle class culture in Limerick 1830-40’). It examines middle class identity and the role of culture in the reproduction of class. My research interests are class and gender identities in early nineteenth-century Ireland.
