I’m a junior PhD researcher at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. My PhD focuses on Northern Irish author Ciaran Carson and the idea of “in-betweeness” and writing from the threshold. I have a BA and MA in English literature and linguistics, with a minor in cultural studies. My academic interest lies in Irish studies as well as narratology and cultural studies. I particularly enjoy examining instances of intertextuality and works of translation and adaptations. I’m an active member of the Swiss Centre of Irish Studies at the Zurich James Joyce Foundation and aims to further continue my academic career after her PhD. I presented a talk at the 2021 EFACIS conference on Ciaran Carson and national identity. I’m currently at Queen’s University in Belfast as a visiting researcher until April 2022.
