Dr Rosemary Day is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Media and Communication Studies at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick.
She is a board member of The Higher Education Authority (HEA) and a former board member of Broadcasting Authority of Ireland
(BAI ).
She is the Irish partner in a HORIZON funded project mapping media for future democracies (visit: https://www.medemap.eu/)
She was a co-founder of three licensed community radio stations and has a long history of activism in the areas of community radio and Irish language communication rights.
She is the author of many books and articles on different aspects of Irish radio.
She is currently working on a book to commemorate100 years of Irish radio to be published in 2026.
