Peggy Dunn Sturba is a visiting professor in the Honors College at Coastal Carolina University (in South Carolina) and Professor Emerita of English at Henderson State University (in Arkansas). Her research interests include Irish literature and culture (especially 19th century to contemporary), Gothicism, and British Romanticism. Her publications (as Peggy Dunn Bailey) include a number of scholarly, peer-reviewed essays on “female Gothic” literature as well as essays on 19th century British poetry and contemporary fiction of the Caribbean. She has presented most recently (Fall 2023) on Irish fiction and film. A passionate teacher-scholar, she was thrilled to offer the first course in Irish Literature and Film at Henderson in 2020, a course she is revising for Spring 2025 at Coastal Carolina University.
