Research Interests From the SJSU Irish Literature Fall 2023, Peggy's presentation on "The Abused Child in Modern and Contemporary Irish Literature and Film" is her first presentation accepted for ACIS Irish Literature conference. She has written on tribal dancing in Uganda's marginalized Banyabindi tribe, and has done 10 years co-chair Rotary Water and Sanitation projects in Uganda. She writes about social dance, international students, and behind the scene stories from medical clinic work of her husband, Dr. Bob.

Peggy Pollard is an MFA student in Creative Writing at San Jose State University, She is third generation Californian, descended from immigrants from Killarney and Donegal. She attended ACIS 2023 in San Jose, California. Her first presentation on “The Abused Child in Irish Modern and Contemporary Literature and Film was developed is accepted for ACIS 2024 in Limerick. Pollard writes on social dance for Santa Cruz Sentinel Newspaper and wrote her first scholar paper in World Dance on Uganda’s Banyabindi tribe’s dance for their secret baby naming ceremony.
