I am a historian of nineteenth and twentieth century Ireland with a particular interest in print culture and in the development of nationalist and unionist identities. I have over 80 publications including biographies of Daniel Corkery and DP Moran and have contributed c.,450 articles to the Dictionary of Irish Biography. I come from Cork, lived in Belfast for several years, and now reside in Dublin.
