I am an archaeologist who received my PhD in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. I am a Professor of Anthropology at NYU where I have taught since 1990. My research focuses on zooarchaeology, the study of animal bones from archaeological sites. I was the co-director of the Dun Ailinne excavations from 2016-22, and I am currently a member of the New Pastures project.
