Research Interests The relationship between theory and practice and the role of ideas in emancipatory projects. Currently researching the history of ideas in Ireland in the decades before 1916, including the political and social thought of essayist, social justice champion, and progressive nationalist Tom Kettle (1880-1916) and his interlocutors.
