Morris Beja is Academy Professor Emeritus and former Chair of the English Department at Ohio State University, where he received the Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award. He has been visiting professor in Greece, Ireland, China, and at Northwestern University. He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship and two Fulbright Lectureships. His books include Epiphany in the Modern Novel; Film and Literature; James Joyce: A Literary Life; and Tell Us About . . . A Memoir. He has edited volumes on film, Joyce, Woolf, Beckett, and Orson Welles and has published numerous essays on modern fiction and film. He is past Presidnt and Honorary Trustee for Life of the International James Joyce Founda¬tion.
