Mollie Kervick is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Connecticut. Her research focuses on Irish women’s fiction, legal humanities, and gender and sexuality. Her dissertation, “Networks of Nurture in Celtic Tiger Fiction by Irish Women,” considers how Irish constitutional law shapes networks of nurture as depicted in Irish literary and archival texts. Her scholarship has been published in New Hibernia Review and Feminist Encounters. She has contributed to a volume on “Contemporary Irish Writers” in The Dictionary of Literary Biography and has presented her work at a number of invited talks and conferences.
