Meghan Gorman-DaRif is an Assistant Professor of English and Comparative Literature at San José State University. She received her PhD from the Department of English at The University of Texas at Austin in 2018. Her research considers historical revolutionary violence in contemporary Anglophone fiction, focusing on the Naxalite Movement in India and the Mau Mau Uprising in Kenya. She has published in the South Asian Review on the contemporary Naxal novel and in Interventions: International Journal of Postcolonial Studies on the Mau Mau Uprising in the context of Kenya’s 2007 post-election violence.
