I am the editor-in-chief of Clio: A Journal of Literature, History, and the Philosophy of History, an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal that recently celebrated our 50th year of publication. An associate professor of English & linguistics, I am also the Director of International Studies at my university. My research centers on the literature and history of the contemporary Six Counties, with a special interest in republican prison writing. My monograph on the subject, Contemporary Irish Republican Prison Writing: Writing and Resistance, was published by Palgrave-Macmillan in 2007. A regular presenter at ACIS, I have been a member of the organization since 2003.
