ACIS Logo Kristen Sieranski

Kristen Sieranski is pursuing a Ph.D. in English at the University of Notre Dame. She is interested in 20th and 21st Century Irish Drama. Her current research focuses on staging the ghost, exploring the ways that the figure of a ghost allows a play to excavate and engage with the trauma of its characters. She has been examining the question “how does a ghost on stage work differently than a ghost on a page?”, putting Irish Drama in conversation with contemporary Irish novels. She is interested in the work of Marina Carr, Conor McPherson, and Owen McCafferty, among many others.
