I am a graduate student at the University of Colorado Denver. I am a History major with an emphasis on Irish Studies and labor history in the American West. I was involved with the effort to create the Irish Miners Memorial in Leadville, Colorado and the History Colorado exhibit Unearthed: Voices of Leadville’s Shanty Irish. For another research project of mine, I investigated connections between Irish miners in Colorado and Irish miners in Pennsylvania involved in the the Molly Maguires. I have also completed a project on the role of Irish immigrants in the Denver Anti-Chinese Riot of 1880. Much of my work centers around class and race relations amongst the Irish in Colorado.
