Karen Steele is professor of English at Texas Christian University. She is author of Women, Press and Politics during the Irish Revival (Syracuse, 2007), editor of Maud Gonne’s Irish Nationalist Writings (Irish Academic, 2004), and with Michael de Nie, co-editor of Ireland and the New Journalism (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014).
