Julien Guillaumond is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages at Clermont-Auvergne University where he is teaching Irish history and business English. He holds a PhD in Irish studies from Sorbonne University on social and economic inequalities in 20th century Ireland. He is a member of the research lab Communication and Sociétés (http://communication-societes.uca.fr/), and is currently part of the GIS EIRE research network (https://www.giseire.org/). His research interests include citizenship and inequality issues in contemporary societies as well as various aspects of Irish political, economic and social history in the 20th and 21st centuries. He is currently working on the role and place of Ireland in the world.
