Joseph Heininger is a Professor of English at Dominican University. His interests include modern and contemporary Irish poetry and poetics. He has published on Heaney’s Dante and Joyce’s use of advertising fictions in Ulysses, and on Micheal O’Siadhail’s Gossamer Wall. His article on Irish poets’ elegies for Seamus Heaney was published in New Hibernia Review in 2020, and an article on “‘Writer and Righter’: Seamus Heaney’s Poetics of Human Rights” appeared in New Hibernia Review, Vol. 28, no. 2. He is writing a study of Seamus Heaney and the Imprint of Translation.
