I received my PhD in Film Studies from Trinity College, Dublin in 2023. My doctoral thesis analyzed the representation of the priest in modern Irish film against the socio-historical backdrop of the Catholic Church’s declining influence. I have presented papers on the depiction of the priest in the Irish horror film, as well as the Irish-American priest of Hollywood during the 1930s and 1940s.
