Jacob D. Martin, S.J. is a Assistant Clinical Professor of Film, TV, and Media Studies at the School of Film and Television at Loyola Marymount University. His article “The Problems of Celibacy in the Films of Bob Quinn” was published in Studies an Irish Quarterly Review in 2024. His article “From Audrey Hepburn’s Sister Luke to Andrew Scott’s Hot Priest: the Most Memorable Priests, Nuns and Monks on Screen” was published in Variety in 2024. He is a regular contributor on film, tv and media for America Magazine. He received his Ph.D. from Trinity College, Dublin in Film Studies in 2023.
