Greg Rappleye’s poems have previously appeared in POETRY, The Southern Review, The North American Review, Arts & Letters, Shenandoah, Virginia Quarterly Review, Water-Stone Review, and many other journals. In Ireland, his poetry has been published in The 2021 Fish Anthology, where his poem “Letter to Dowsie from Roethke in Ireland” was selected by Billy Collins as the winner of the Fish Prize in Poetry, in Southword, and elsewhere. His second collection, A Path Between Houses (University of Wisconsin Press, 2000) won the Brittingham Prize. His third book, Figured Dark (University of Arkansas Press, 2007), was co-winner of the Arkansas Prize in Poetry and was published in the Miller Williams Poetry Series. His fourth collection is Tropical Landscape with Ten Hummingbirds, (Dos Madres Press, 2018), which won the Arts & Letters Prize in Poetry. Barley Child, his latest full-length collection of poems concerning his Irish-American upbringing, is in need of a smart publisher. He teaches in the English Department at Hope College, Holland, Michigan.
