Dr. FitzGerald is an adjunct professor of policy and government at The Schar School at George Mason University. His commentary on issues related to Irish politics, religion, and international affairs has been carried by Associated Press, the Religion News Service, The Conversation, the Washington Post, St. Louis Post Dispatch, and the Houston Chronicle, among others. Gerald is a former consultant to the British Council on the role of religion in cultural relations and cultural diplomacy where I have been involved in convening expertise at the intersection of religion and public policy.
