ACIS Logo Evguenia Davenport

My name is Evguenia Davenport, and I am a second-year PhD in English Literature student at University of South Florida. My specialization area is contemporary American literature (20th and 21st centuries). I graduated from USF in 2013 with a dual Master’s degree in Spanish and in Applied Linguistics: English as a Second Language. I have taught several Spanish and Russian language courses over the years at USF, UT and Florida Southern College and taught a Russian literature course in 2013 and a Russian history course in 2019 at USF. Led USF Summer Study Abroad programs in Latin America for several years, in Argentina 2014-2015 as an assistant and in Costa Rica 2016-2018 as a director. As a graduate student in Argentina (Summer Study Abroad 2012), I conducted research for my MA in Spanish thesis which examined how anti-establishment discourse helps an individual confront a totalitarian regime as seen through literature in Latin America and in Russia.
