Elizabeth Brewer Redwine, PhD, is a lecturer in the English Department at Seton Hall University. She specializes in Irish and Anglophone literatures, performance, and theater. Her publications include Gender, Performance, and Authorship at the Abbey Theatre (Oxford University Press, 2021) Tagore and Yeats: A Postcolonial Re-envisioning, co-edited with Amrita Ghosh, (Brill Cross Cultures, 2022), and the forthcoming Sara Allgood’s Memoirs: Untold Stories of the Abbey Theatre and Early Hollywood (Oxford University Press, 2024). She edits, with Martha Carpentier, the online journal Critical Inquiries into Irish Studies and is at work on a new book, Acting Against Empire, about anticolonial performance.
