Deaglán Ó Donghaile is Reader in Late Victorian Literature and Culture at Liverpool John Moores University in England. His current research focuses on the political content of Oscar Wilde’s literary writings and he is writing a critical biography of Wilde entitled Revolutionary Wilde. His most recent book, Oscar Wilde and the Radical Politics of the Fin de Siecle explores the political influences behind his literary writings. His first book, Blasted Literature: Victorian Political Fiction and the Shock of Modernism

Deaglán is originally from Derry and now works and lives in Liverpool.
