David Ray Vance is the author of two collections of poetry: Vitreous (Del Sol Press, 2007), and Stupor (Elixir Press, 2014). He earned a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Houston and is an Associate Professor in the Creative Writing Program at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where he was awarded a University of Texas System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award in 2013. His stories and poems have appeared in such journals as Chicago Review, Denver Quarterly, Notre Dame Review, and McSweeney’s.
