Colleen Etman is a PhD candidate at the University of South Carolina specializing in Popular Fiction and Culture, with a secondary specialization in Transmedia and Adaptation Studies. Her previous work has focused on the relationship between popular culture and society, and the ways that popular culture can reflect social values. She currently teaches with the University of South Carolina, where she works to create new classes on popular culture topics.
