I am a transdisciplinary educator, scholar, and performer with a PhD in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies, specializing in Theatre for Youth, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My dissertation, Alternative Dramaturgies in Contemporary Western European TYA, including a chapter on Replay Theatre’s COMET and the interplay between space and power in Northern Irish adolescence, explored the role of agency and empowerment within the role of Material Semiotics, Postdramatic Theatre, and parallax viewership. My MA in Irish Studies from Queen’s University Belfast focused on myth and masculinity in Loyalist performance, and I continue to study Northern Irish TYA. I am also an international performer have created work across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
