I got my BA in Applied Languages from University of Limerick and my MA in Translation Studies from Dublin City University (DCU). I then worked as a research editor for the Irish school Fiontar at DCU. I received a Fulbright FLTA scholarship in 2010 to teach Irish language at University of Montana (UM). I have taught at UM and University College Cork (UCC). I was awarded my PHD from UCC in 2020. It is titled “Irish in Montana, 1880-1920: Cultural Nationalism in Exile’.
