Dr Ciara Ní Riain is an independent scholar working on a range of history and language programs. She most recently served as Program Director for the Foundation for Montana History, developing their grant program and writing a forthcoming biography Adventure and Ambition on the Open Range: Henry Sieben and the Montana Story. She has written numerous articles and one book on the Irish cultural experience in America: “Seán Ó Súilleabháin (1882-1957)” (Cló Iar-Chonnacht, www.ainm.ie, 2019); “Seán ‘Irish’ Ó Súilleabháin: Butte’s Irish Bard” (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2020); Seán Ó Súilleabháin: Cultural Nationalist in Exile (working title) (University of Nebraska Press, forthcoming).
