Tony Bucher is President of the San Francisco Irish Literary and Historical Society of the San Francisco Bay Area, and founder and president the Hinterland West festival. He writes a monthly column for the Irish Herald newspaper and regularly presents at the Hinterland Festival and ACIS West on topics on the Irish in San Francisco and on California in the 1970s. He has a BA in History from UC Berkeley and MA from Columbia University.
