Originally from Belfast, Ann teaches British and Irish literature at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Her research interests include middlebrow culture, women’s writing, Northern Irish fiction and poetry, and depictions of the Magdalene Laundries in current Irish detective fiction.
