Ann Neelon is Professor Emerita at Murray State University, where she won the Regnents Teaching Award and directed the undergraduate creative writing program, the low-residency MFA program and the Literature in Ireland program. As the editor of New Madrid journal from 2006 to 2018, she devoted numerous issues to Irish connections. She is also a poet, whose work was included in Open-Eyed Full Throated: An Anthology of American/Irish Poets, edited by Nathalie Anderson and published in 2019. She has participated in recent ACIS poetry roundtables on Seán Hewitt, Doireann Ní Ghríofa, Eavan Boland, Ailbhe Darcy and Bernard O’Donoghue.
