Post-Conference Walking Tour of Downtown San Francisco
The annual meeting officially ends on Saturday 10 June, but for those interesting in staying longer to learn more about the history of the Irish in the San Francisco area, there will be an organized walking tour of downtown San Francisco. Co-led by Drs. Myles Dungan (historian, author, and RTE Broadcaster) and Glen Gendzel (Professor of History, San José State University), the tour will focus on historical sites relating to Irish immigration. Those wishing to attend the walking tour may avail themselves of two nights lodging at the Hyatt Hotel in San Francisco for the nights of Sunday, June 11 and Monday, June 12 at a rate of $199 per room, per night. The walking tour will take place on Monday, June 12.
