Nominations for the 2027-29 Executive Board elections are now being accepted. All positions are for a two-year term, starting after the 2027 National Confernece and ending with the 2029 National Conference (with the exception of the Vice President, who will serve a subsequent 2-year term as Presdient).

Vice President
- Chair ACIS Book Prizes Committee
- Chair ACIS Nominating Committee
- Serve as Executive Committee liaison between ACIS and national conference planners
- Recruit proposals for national conference sites
- Accede to President role after two years as Vice President
History Representative
- Chair Murphy Prize for Distinguished First Book
- Organize and Chair ACIS panel at AHA Convention
- Represent the interests of members specializing in Irish history
Literature Representative
- Chair Rhodes Prize for Books on Literature
- Represent the interests of members specializing in literary studies
- Chair ACIS panel at the MLA Convention (create proposal, select participants, submit proposal, chair panel)
Arts Representative
- Chair Durkan Prize for Books on Language and Culture
- Represent the interests of members involved in study of the arts
Social Science Representative
- Chair Donnelly, Sr. Prize for Books on History or Social Science
- Represent the interests of members involved in the Social Sciences
Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies Representative
- Chair Ann Owens Weekes Prize for an ACIS conference paper in Women’s Studies
- Represent the interests of members involved in Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies
Irish Language Representative
- Chair Duais Leabhar Taighde na Bliana / Award for Books in the Irish Language
- Represent the interests of members involved in the study of the Irish Language
Graduate Student Representative
- Represent and advocate for the interests of graduate student members
