Lenoir-Rhyne University is proud to host the 2020-2021 Southern Meeting of the American Conference for Irish Studies, November 5-7, 2020 in Hickory, North Carolina.   The conference theme is “Walk on Air: The Politics and Poetics of Transcendence and Terror.” This theme recognizes Seamus Heaney’s participation in the 1992 Southern Region ACIS conference at Lenoir-Rhyne where he uplifted all of us with his down-to-earth, otherworldliness.
