CFP: Tramp Press: Ireland’s Maverick Publisher
Deadline for abstracts: July 31, 2022
Contact email: [email protected]
Tramp Press (f. 2014) is one of the leading voices in independent publishing, launching well-known writers from Ireland and beyond such as Sara Baume and Emilie Pine, and reissuing impactful past women writers. A globally-minded local press, Tramp’s list queries fixed ideas of “Irish” writing and of what can constitute the contemporary.
Mary Burke (University of Connecticut) and Tara Harney-Mahajan (Caldwell University) are co-editing a manuscript on Tramp that is under consideration at a university press. Confirmed contributors are covering a range of writers and approaches, but the editors hope for a few further essays on the Tramp publications of Sara Baume, Sarah Henstra, Ian Maleny, Doireann Ní Ghríofa, Emilie Pine, Jade Sharma, or Joanna Walsh.
Please send 100-200-word abstracts and a 25-word bio to [email protected] by July 31 2022. Full essays (4,000 words maximum) will be due in early December 2022.
