The Fionn Cycle Folklore Project at Harvard is seeking a full-time Research Associate for the 2019-20 academic year. The project will result in the construction of an online database of over 3,400 records of Fionn Cycle folklore.

The Research Associate’s duties will include preparing data for presentation on the website, entering geodata, and producing and translating editorial content for the website. Strong proficiency in Modern Irish and Scottish Gaelic is required. Previous experience working with place names and/or folklore would be an asset.

The start date is flexible. The eight-month appointment may start as early as September 16, 2019. There is a possibility of a four-month extension beyond the end of the initial appointment.

The successful applicant must be authorized to work in the United States.
