John Faulkner grew up in London, influenced by singer Ewan MacColl and Irish musical exiles such as fiddler Bobby Casey, flute player Roger Sherlock and piper/concertina player Tommy McCarthy.
Faulkner’s 1980’s partnership with singer Dolores Keane produced some of the finest recordings of the Irish traditional music revival. That collaboration belongs to history but John’s solo prowess as a singer, guitarist and bouzouki player is as remarkable as ever. It has been years since John toured the USA, and this is a much-anticipated musical visit.
