The European Certificate in Irish Language Examination

Applications must be submitted no later than March 14th, 2014.
This examination, developed by the Language Center at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, is a system for adult learners of Irish to measure their progress. It is linked to the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (Council of Europe, 2001).
The test provides a benchmark, offering six levels in the system of certification for learners within and outside formal academic environments.

Level 1 (A1) Examination will be held at Glucksman Ireland House, the center of Irish Studies at New York University in cooperation with The Language Center of The National University of Ireland, Maynooth, on Saturday June 7th, 2014.
The written examination will be at 9:00am. Oral examinations will be held in the afternoon.
The examination will be administered by an examiner from the National University of Ireland at Maynooth.

Applications must be submitted online at http://www.teg.ie/english/application.htm no later than March 14th, 2014.
The Level 2 (A2) examination will be held on May 24th, 2014, the Level 3 (B1) examination will be held on May 10th, 2014, and the Level 4 (B2) examination will be held on April 5th, 2014.
