ACIS Logo Educational/Cultural Trip to Ireland, January 5-15th 2014

Drew University is delighted to announce a 10-day study trip to Ireland, led by top Irish historian, Professor Christine Kinealy. The trip is open to all students, scholars, and any persons interested in an educational & authentic experience of Dublin, Northern Ireland & the beautiful North-West counties of Donegal, Sligo & Leitrim. This study trip will cover the history and culture of Ireland, from prehistoric to contemporary times. The schedule will include lectures, field trips, workshops and cultural entertainments and activities, & wonderful guest speakers, including Ireland Professor of Poetry, Paula Meehan, Oideas Gael’s Liam O’ Cuinneagain, and Clannad’s Moya Brennan, among others. The trip finishes on Jan 15th, which is the start-date of the Drew University “Transatlantic Connections” Conference, and all trip participants are encouraged to stay on and enjoy this excellent inter-disciplinary Irish Studies Conference. The trip costs 2300 USD + airfare, or 2600 USD + airfare for trip and conference.
