ACIS Logo Columbia University Irish Studies Seminar, Feb. 7, 2014

On Friday February 7, 2014. Brendan Kane will be giving the talk, entitled “Masculinity and Political Geographies in Early Modern England, Ireland and North America.” As usual, the seminar meet at 7pm in Faculty House for dinner, and the talk will commence in an adjacent room at 8pm.
Brendan Kane is Associate Professor of History and Associate Director of the Humanities Institute at the University of Connecticut. He is the author of The Politics and Culture of Honour in Britain and Ireland, 1541-1641 (Cambridge UP) and co-editor of the collection Elizabeth I and Ireland (forthcoming, Cambridge UP).
