A recognized interdisciplinary minor in Irish Studies is in development, target date 2017-18.

In the meantime, the English department offers courses in Irish literature and film, the Sociology department offers a course on social conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Geography department offers a course on the geography of Britain and Ireland.

Study abroad opportunities to Ireland are offered on a regular basis, led by faculty in English and Geography. We also have a memorandum of understanding with the University of Ulster which allows FSU students to complete one- or two-semester study abroad experiences in Northern Ireland.
